The “MahiMahi” was designed by Maui Kjeldsen in 1999 as an improvement over the 1990 model in rough seas. It incorporates design ideas from Hawaii & Tahiti. The MahiMahi has a higher volume hull and is more maneuverable, turning faster than other New Zealand designs. The hull shape makes it easy to catch steep ocean swells as well as smaller bumps, taking advantage of every lift the ocean offers.

Meaning: Waipureku is the name of the area prior to it being known as East Clive.
Te Moananui established the Waipureku Pa in 1845 beside the Tukituki River on Waipureku Road. The original Clive Township was sited on the Ngaruroro River.
The Pa, which was originally sited strategically at the mouths of the Tukituki and Ngaruroro rivers, has since been relocated due to the risk of flooding.
Waipureku was the home of Kurupo te Moananui of Ngati Kahungunu, the paramount chief for the Heretaunga area who was the main point of contact for the first European settlers.
